This spot was written using ads and brochure material already written. It was easy to give to a professional voice over personality and point out the key areas. He then did the read so it fit within 30 seconds. The footage was shot using available light at the facility and didn’t take long to capture. The logo was supplied by the company that was doing all of their printing so we took that and superimposed it over for video. Some other simple graphics were added in to support the voice over and the final piece turned out great and the original actually aired on local cable as well as broadcasted over the internet and was featured on the website.

Beauty School
We were hired to fly to Florida and shoot for one day using small digital cameras and only available light. We only had a short time to shoot and had to do it during classes without disrupting anything. We captured the footage and took a series of photos for the website and jumped back on a plane. The voice over was scripted using brochures and from ads they had used in the past that were very successful. The school requested the voice over be a younger girl so that it could relate to their main demographic. We used artwork from their new brochures and website so that everything matched and had that agency look. The video was encoded as high end flash video and was hosted directly from the beauty school website so it looked much better than the YouTube version you see here. The text was much easier to read. This is something to take into consideration when producing your video. If you are choosing YouTube or a similar service it is a good idea to make text much larger and to stay away from small text.

This ad also aired on local cable and the school flourished quickly. Within 6 months they started building their own building and changed the name in order to begin franchising the school.
